FAQ

• How long does it take? – It depends on what’s being done, the type and number of windows you have, (older multipane windows with storms will take longer than standard 2 pane windows). We can give you an estimate before we begin.
• Rainy Day policy – If it’s raining in the morning of the day you’re scheduled we will come and wash the inside surfaces. (and the outside if weather permits). If it does happen to rain throughout the day we’ll complete the interior and then return the next available day and finish the outside and leave the invoice in the mailbox
• How much will it cost? – Cost is based on services provided and length of time. We offer free no obligation estimates before work is performed.
• Do I need to be home while the windows are being cleaned? – The short answer is yes. We’ll need access to the surfaces being cleaned.  No one needs to be home if only the outside is being washed. If we’re washing both the interior and exterior of the windows we can finish inside then move outside allowing you to lock up and go. We’ll leave the invoice in the mailbox.
• Can you clean windows that appear foggy? – Over time, double pane thermal windows can develop leaks, allowing moisture to enter.  In this instance the only remedy is have them replaced.  Contact your window manufacturer to check if your windows are still under warranty.
• What is Glass Degradation?– Over time, the glass surface can be pierced  by contaminates like acid rain, oxidation,(screen burn), mineral deposits. These require special techniques to restore the damaged glass and are priced separately from the normal cleaning.
• Do you wash windows year around? – Yes. We’re able to get great results at any time of the year.
• What is pure water window washing? – Pure water window cleaning is a great way to clean windows in a safe, environmentally sensitive manner.   Tap water carries particulates, or microscopic debris.  While the amount of these particulates varies depending on the water source, this creates spotting on glass as the water dries.  We use a process called deionization to remove all of these particulates from the water.  We then connect this pure water source to a pole that feeds it to a brush head.  We scrub the window with this deionized water, loosening the dirt.  We then rinse it clean with pure, deionized water, leaving it spot free.
• Do you have a favorite story from your work? A customer called us to wash her windows after having replaced the siding due to damage from carpenter bees. The large window panes looked as if they had been sprayed with orange wax over a light grey film. We washed scraped and polished over a day and a half and when we were done all but two of the eighteen windows were perfectly clear and sparkling. She was surprised and thrilled. It was nice to be the hero.
